The Apple’, a picture and meditation from Revd Bob Day
This town, the highest in Israel, has always been an important place for Jewish studies. The former Arab quarter (which became Jewish in 1948) is now home to a large colony of artists. The former mosque is now an art gallery and this sculpture stands nearby.

Meditate on the picture and think about your own unresolved conflicts.
How will you try to find 'peace of mind and heart'?
Both figures hold the apple which has two bites from it.
In any dispute both parties usually contribute - neither is blameless.
Can we help people to hold the apple and resolve their grievances or is it something they have to recognise and deal with themselves? Is there always a place for a "peace-maker" or a facilitator to enable "Peace is the Way"?
